Why I Created Light Lessons

I didn’t start my life in calm.
I grew up in a home shaped by trauma, addiction, instability, and eventually the shock of family suicide. Hyper-responsibility wasn’t something I learned in leadership training — it was survival. I became strong early. Capable early. Independent early.
And very “together” on the outside.

Education became my way of making sense of it all. I earned a Master’s in Developmental Psychology, a PhD in Human Behavior, became ICF-certified, collected more certifications and trainings than I can count, and spent the last 20 years coaching leaders at the highest levels.
